Tindahan POS Privacy Policy
Last updated 6 November 2026. This policy explains what the Tindahan POS app does with your information, in plain language.
The short version
- Your shop records stay on your phone. Products, sales, customers and utang are saved on your device. The app works without internet and without an account.
- We only receive data if you choose to sign in, use cloud backup, or buy Pro.
- We do not sell your data. The app has no advertising, and no analytics or tracking tools.
- You can ask us to delete your account and cloud backup at any time (see “Deleting your data”).
1. Who we are
Tindahan POS is a point-of-sale and utang (credit) ledger app for small stores, made by Cessyrona Software Studio in Manila, Philippines (“we”, “us”). You can reach us at gasparromeo@gmail.com.
2. Information the app handles
On your phone (no account needed)
The records you enter: products, prices and stock, your customers’ names and optional phone numbers, sales, utang entries and payments, and app settings. This information is stored on your device and is not sent to us unless you use cloud backup. If you save a backup file to a folder on your phone, that file is stored where you choose.
If you sign in
You can sign in with a one-time code sent to your email address, or with your Google account. We receive your email address and an account ID. With Google sign-in we also receive the basic profile your Google account shares (such as your name). We use this only to identify your account.
If you use cloud backup (Pro)
We store one copy of your shop records for your account, in private storage that only your account can read. This copy includes the customer names and phone numbers you entered. Each new backup replaces the previous one.
If you buy Pro
The purchase is made through Google Play. Google handles your payment details; we never see your card or payment information. We use a purchase service, RevenueCat, to confirm that your purchase is valid. We receive your account ID and whether Pro is active for it.
Technical information
The services that run sign-in, email delivery and purchase checks may process technical information such as your IP address and device type, as needed to provide their service and keep it secure. We do not use this to build advertising profiles.
3. App permissions (Android)
- Internet and network state, to sign in, back up and restore, and verify purchases, and to know when you are offline.
- Google Play Billing, to buy Pro.
- Vibration, for button feedback.
- Files only in a folder you choose yourself, when you save or restore a backup.
The app does not ask for access to your contacts, location, camera, microphone, photos or messages.
4. How we use information
- To run the app and keep you signed in.
- To store your cloud backup and restore it when you ask.
- To send your sign-in code by email.
- To confirm your Pro purchase and unlock Pro features, including on a new phone.
- To answer your questions, fix problems, and keep the service secure.
- To meet legal obligations.
5. Who we share it with
We use these service providers, who process information only to provide their service to us:
- Supabase — account sign-in, database and private file storage (hosted in the Asia-Pacific region).
- Resend — delivery of sign-in emails.
- Google — Google sign-in and Google Play Billing.
- RevenueCat — purchase verification.
We do not sell your personal information or share it for advertising. We may disclose information if the law requires it. Some providers may process data in other countries; we choose providers that protect it with appropriate safeguards.
6. Your customers’ information
If you record the names or phone numbers of your own customers, you decide what to enter and are responsible for treating that information fairly and only for your shop’s business. When you use cloud backup, we store that information on your behalf only to provide your backup, and we do not use it for anything else.
7. Security
Information sent between the app and our services is encrypted in transit. Cloud backups are kept in private storage with access rules that limit each backup to its own account. No system is perfectly secure, so please also protect your phone with a screen lock.
8. How long we keep it
Records on your phone stay there until you delete them or the app’s data. Your account and cloud backup are kept while your account is active, and until you ask us to delete them.
9. Deleting your data
Step-by-step instructions are on our account deletion page. In short: to delete your account and cloud backup, email gasparromeo@gmail.com from the email address you signed in with, with the subject “Delete my Tindahan POS account”. We will delete your account and cloud backup within 30 days and confirm by email. Records stored only on your phone are not held by us; you can remove them by clearing the app’s data or uninstalling the app. Purchase records kept by Google Play or required by law may remain with those parties.
10. Your rights
Under the Philippine Data Privacy Act of 2012 (Republic Act No. 10173) you have the right to be informed, to access your personal data, to correct it, to object to its processing, to have it deleted or blocked, and to move it. Email us to use any of these rights. You may also complain to the National Privacy Commission.
11. Children
Tindahan POS is a business tool and is not directed at children under 13. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children. If you believe a child has given us information, contact us and we will delete it.
12. Changes to this policy
We may update this policy. When we do, we will change the date at the top of this page. If a change is significant, we will also tell you in the app or by email.
